Wolters Kluwer names McKinstry as president/CEO of North American Legal, Tax & Business operations
Wolters Kluwer announced today that Nancy McKinstry has been named president and CEO of WoltersKluwer Legal, Tax & Business North America as of October 2000. The North American unit with annualsales of more than EUR 1 billion is comprised of Aspen Publishers, CCH Canadian, CCH U.S. Publishingand CCH Tax Compliance, and CCH Legal Information Services (LIS).
McKinstry most recently was CEO and a director of SCP, New York, a medical publishing and servicescompany specializing in clinical research, journals, medical education and communications. For eight years prior to SCP, she held executive positions with CCH. From 1996 to 1999 she served as presidentand CEO of CCH LIS. During her tenure there, the company experienced rapid growth, expanded its lineof technology-based services and products, and became one of Wolters Kluwer's most profitablecompanies worldwide.
McKinstry succeeds Hugh J. Yarrington, who is moving full-time to the Wolters Kluwer nv Executive Board where he will oversee the company's Legal, Tax & Business clustersNorth America and Asia Pacific and the Education cluster.
