Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Expert to Help Money Services Businesses Address Regulatory Risk

Webinar Offers Guidance on Implementing Risk-based Compliance Practices

Risk-based systems are a vital component of every anti-money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act compliance program. But implementing a risk-based approach can be especially challenging for money services businesses (MSBs).  Wolters Kluwer Financial Services today announced that Shannon Bennett, senior director of Financial Crimes Control Strategy at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, will be participating in a webinar to help MSBs address these issues.

The webinar, “ The ABCs of MSB Risk Management Programs” is being hosted by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. During the webinar, participants will learn cost-effective methods to help MSBs implement risk-based practices that serve their business interests while meeting regulatory due diligence expectations.

“Implementing a risk-based approach can be challenging for MSBs as they are often tasked with having to meet their compliance obligations with fewer resources,” said Bennett. “The outcomes from this webinar will help MSBs determine potential impacts to their businesses and provide industry best practices for ‘Know Your Agent/Customer /Consumer’ along with how-to properly train front-line staff to meet examiner expectations.”

Bennett has nearly 30 years of regulatory compliance experience in the financial services industry, working in and with both banks and nonbanks. In her role as senior director of Financial Crimes Control Strategy at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, Bennett serves as an advisor and strategist to financial institutions in preventing, identifying and resolving opportunities for fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes.
