Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of information and point of care solutions for the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce a new publishing partnership with the open access journal, Healthy Aging Research.
“We’re delighted to have the strength of Wolters Kluwer as our new publishing partner to support the continued growth of Health Aging Research,” said Sophie Domingues-Montanari, PhD, Editor-in-Chief. “I feel privileged to be working in this exciting field of aging, and to be associated with Healthy Aging Research as we move towards a critical understanding of the mechanisms of aging.”
Dr. Domingues-Montanari added, “Armed with this information and coupled with expertise from multidisciplinary fields such as stem cell engineering, genetics and tissue imaging, over the next decade, we should be able to introduce effective, new clinical therapies targeting major neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, cancer or stroke.”
Healthy Aging Research launched in December 2012. It is currently indexed in Thomson Reuters' Emerging Sources Citation Index and by Google Scholar.
The journal focuses on elucidating both normal and pathogenic mechanisms associated with aging, clinical trials of novel drugs and anti-aging agents, and imaging of organs, structures and tumors. It also focuses on treating and preventing age-associated diseases such as stroke, myocardial infarction, cancer, arthritis, cataracts, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and Alzheimer's disease, to ultimately reduce morbidity and mortality.
