Search in your own language in UpToDate is now patented

We are happy to announce that a United States patent has been awarded for search-in-your-own-language (SIYOL).

The (now proprietary) technology allows users to enter searches in UpToDate in their native language. It is efficient, scalable, highly accurate, and built to improve with time. Released in 2013, SIYOL works as planned. Users praise it and it achieved its major objective of increasing use of UpToDate in target markets.

This award is a result of innovation and collaboration at Wolters Kluwer once again. Terrence Jiang, inventor of the SIYOL, worked together with many people who conceived ways to improve workflow, properly research and iterate on them, and then implement, promote, measure, sell, and support them made this happen.

Congratulations to the team on this accomplishment!
