The use of machine learning and predictive analytics brings great promise for the future of education, but it is not a panacea. Data can guide our understanding of learner behavior and learning outcomes as well as assist in personalizing instruction to meet individual needs of learners. Nurse educators have a legal and ethical imperative to ensure appropriate use of student data and predictor exam scores.
