Perspectives on diversity in a global context

Looking for some fresh insights on diversity from a global perspective? Catch the March 31, 2023 episode of S&P Global’s ESG Insider podcast with Jessica Economos, Global Vice President of DEI at Wolters Kluwer.

As part of the ESG Insider special podcast series for Women’s Month, Jessica Economos, Global Vice President of DEI at Wolters Kluwer, was one of three DEI experts, alongside Dr. Amani Abou-Zeid, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy of the African Union Commission, and Alethia Jackson, Senior Vice President for ESG and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer for the U.S. at Walgreens Boots Alliance, a healthcare, pharmacy and retail company with a presence in the U.S., Europe and Latin America.

In her segment, Jessica discusses the company’s commitment to inclusion and belonging, highlighting how our teams are working to embed inclusion into our work culture and expert solutions. Tune in to hear about why creating empathy and understanding within our cross-functional, global teams is central to our diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB) approach.

Also, Jessica highlights ways female leaders have demonstrated success with strengths in inclusive leadership and connection. She also highlighted how the pandemic has increased her empathy as a leader and ways she seeks to live an integrated life as a working parent. Her experience of facing imposter syndrome early in her career, often due to being the youngest person in the room, has resulted in a conscious effort to build her own confidence through stretch assignments with grit, determination, and hard work.
