CCH personal tax software reaches market-leading first-time success rate in online filing of UK tax returns by accountants from April to June 2013
Wolters Kluwer's personal tax software used by UK accountants for filing their clients' self-assessment tax returns to HMRC achieved a first-time success rate well ahead of the nearest competitor.
During the three-month period from 6 April to 30 June 2013, tax returns made to HMRC using CCH-branded Personal Tax software achieved a first-time filing success rate of 99.95%. The average figure for software produced by all other commercial organizations was just 96.91%.
The Wolters Kluwer figure was also ahead of HMRC's own online service for filing tax returns, where the first-time success rate was 99.90%.
Simon Crompton, CCH Software's MD, says: "More than a million personal tax returns were filed online in this three-month period. So even the slightest variance in the percentage of the first-time success rate can be hugely important and save accountants significant time and money."
