Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World ranking released by Corporate Knights
For the second consecutive year, Wolters Kluwer has been recognized as one of the ‘ Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World’ by Corporate Knights during the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 22, 2014. The Global 100 selects the 100 best performing stocks globally based on the analysis of sector-relevant, objective sustainability metrics. This repeated success reflects Wolters Kluwer’s commitment to creating a sustainable business environment and the continuous effort to minimize our environmental footprint and maximize our social handprint.
“This recognition affirms our inclusive business strategy with the goal to create value for our stakeholders by investing in sustainable solutions,” said Roland Waardenburg, Corporate Sustainability Lead for Wolters Kluwer. “We are cognizant that integrating sustainability in our business mitigates future risks. All this is reflected in our endeavor to provide sustainable innovations for our customers to support their efforts in achieving better results and driving sustainability, hence our motto - Wolters Kluwer – When you have to be right.”
Since its launch in 2005, the Global 100 Index generated a total return of 87.3% to its investors (3.5% higher than the MSCI All Country World Index). The list was created from an initial pool of 4000 companies. Additionally, Wolters Kluwer celebrated the inclusion of the highest number of Dutch companies in the Global 100 index since its inception. To honor these companies, Wolters Kluwer, along with Corporate Knights and 4 other Dutch companies, were invited to open the Euronext Amsterdam Gong Ceremony on January 10, 2014.
