Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Names Winner of its Alfredo deHaas Excellence in Analytics Award

Jordan Jones from Fulton Financial Corporation Honored at 19th Annual CRA & Fair Lending Colloquium

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services has named Jordan Jones, compliance analyst at Fulton Financial Corporation in Lancaster, Pa., as the honoree of its Alfredo deHaas Excellence in Analytics award. The award, which recognizes a banking professional who “excels in leveraging data to demonstrate his or her institution’s commitment to regulatory compliance,” was presented at the company’s 19th annual CRA & Fair Lending Colloquium, held this week in Orlando, Fla.

Named after longtime Community Reinvestment Act analyst Alfredo deHaas of MUFG Union Bank, N.A. in San Francisco, the award is meant “to trumpet the ‘unsung heroes’ who embody Alfredo's passion and spirit for championing the creative and thoughtful use of data.” DeHaas passed away in 2014 after a long battle with cancer.

Jones was selected by a committee of veteran compliance professionals from the banking industry for his professionalism and commitment to excellence in data analytics.

“Jordan has a tremendous knack for transforming large volumes of data into something meaningful, intuitive and results-oriented that is easily understood by management,” said Theresa Bachman, vice president, CRA officer, Fulton Financial Corporation Compliance. “Jordan continually seeks better ways of doing things to help us operate more efficiently and effectively. He has made a significant difference not only with our fair and responsible banking analytics, but in our bank’s compliance department overall. Jordan is a true impact player.”

“Alfredo was passionate about the work he did to fulfill his regulatory compliance obligations and better serve customers. It is in his honor that we recognize creative analytic team members to help drive this passion forward,” said Todd Cooper, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Risk Compliance for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. “It is a great pleasure to recognize Jordan’s dedication to data analytics and congratulate him on winning this award.”

Sponsors of the 2015 Colloquium include the American Bankers Association, the Independent Community Bankers of America, and Community Capital Management.
