Wolters Kluwer telecommunications expert leads panel on the future of mobile and data services at Competitive Carriers Association Annual Convention

Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. today announced its Senior Telecommunications Editor will moderate a panel on the future of wireless data services entitled "Life in the Fast Lane: Riding the Spectrum Low-, Mid-, and High-way" on October 26 at the Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) Annual Convention in Fort Worth, Texas.

The panel will be moderated by Paul Kirby of Wolters Kluwer's TR Daily – the industry-leading daily reporting service. Kirby will lead an in-depth discussion on innovative ways for wireless providers to meet consumers' increasing demands for data services, and an overview of the Administration's work to inspire next-generation advancements.

"While we are moving closer to 5G, the future of next-generation technologies like connected cars and the Internet of Things will demand network coverage that can only be fulfilled by a varied spectrum portfolio," said Kirby. "Competitive carriers must continue to find innovative ways to leverage existing spectrum to prepare for the future of an ever-expanding mobile market."

The panel consists of prominent experts in telecommunication:

  • Neşe Guendelsberger, Senior Deputy Chief of the Wireless Bureau, FCC
  • Jessica Gyllstrom, Attorney, Telecommunications Law Professionals PLLC
  • Steve Sharkey, Vice President, Government Affairs, Technology and Engineering Policy, T-Mobile
  • Johanna R. Thomas, Special Counsel, Communications, Internet and Technology Practice Group, Jenner & Block
