Wolters Kluwer to lead webinar on emerging IPO trends

Presented with Davis Polk & Wardwell, webinar will review 2017 developments and assess IPO trends in 2018.

Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. today announced that registration is open for its securities law webinar on Initial Public Offering (IPO) trends. The IPO Trends webinar was held Wednesday, March 21, 2 PM – 2:30 PM EST.

John Atwood, associate managing analyst within Wolters Kluwer’s securities unit, will lead the Q&A session with featured speaker John B. Meade, partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Meade will review and assess the driving factors behind the IPO rebound in 2017, and look ahead at what factors will likely influence 2018’s IPO market performance. With recent market statistics as a backdrop, the webinar will provide investors and legal professionals in this practice area with insights into the challenges and opportunities in today’s deal-making environment.

“Coming off a solid 2017, the IPO market posted its best January numbers ever, but lost some momentum in February in the face of broader market volatility,” said Atwood. “Wolters Kluwer is pleased to join with Davis Polk & Wardwell partner John Meade, an adviser on IPOs by Hilton Worldwide, Manchester United and others, to discuss current IPO market dynamics.”

As a partner in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department, Meade primarily represents issuer and underwriter clients in public and private securities offerings, and also advises on general corporate matters, including strategic transactions, corporate governance and SEC reporting and compliance matters, for U.S. and non-U.S. corporations.
