Wolters Kluwer thought leader to moderate panel at ARK Group’s 14th Annual Knowledge Management in the Legal Profession conference

Dean Sonderegger will lead a discussion on assessing the benefits of technology in the legal industry.

Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. Vice President and General Manager of Legal Markets and Innovation Dean Sonderegger will moderate a panel, entitled "Driving to Value: Assessing the Benefit of AI and other Technology Solutions to the Firm" at the Applied Research and Knowledge (ARK) Group's 14th Annual Knowledge Management in the Legal Profession Conference. The event will take place at New York Law School in New York City from October 23-24.

On Wednesday, October 24 at 9:45 AM, Sonderegger will lead a discussion on how legal professionals can use a value chain to explore and evaluate technology solutions. The technology value chain varies from efficiency to outcome to optimization of business processes, and the characteristics of each step in the value chain, including where different types of solutions fit and the impact to the firm from different categories of solutions.

“In the last 12-24 months, the legal technology market has been flooded with solutions that aim to improve efficiency, save time and drive to better outcomes,” said Sonderegger. “In such an environment it is important for industry professionals to understand what solutions will best meet their firm’s needs. This discussion will put forth a framework to help professionals understand and categorize the strengths of different solutions in order to make the best decision.”

With more than two decades of experience at the cutting edge of technology across industries, Dean Sonderegger directs the Legal Markets Group of Wolters Kluwer Legal and Regulatory U.S. He is a highly sought-after speaker and thought leader in the areas of artificial intelligence, blockchain, the evolution of the legal profession, and leading business transformation. He currently authors a column for Above the Law on the intersection of technology and the practice of law, and his commentary has appeared in several publications including Forbes, CFO Magazine& and ABA Journal.

The 14th Annual Knowledge Management in the Legal Profession Conference will share different perspectives and approaches to knowledge management. For more information and to purchase tickets for the event, visit: https://www.ark-group.com/event/knowledge-management-legal-profession#.W7tj2ntKiUk.
