Luo’s presentation will focus on data mining to reduce hospital-acquired infections

Jeff Luo Data Scientist AI Wolters Kluwer Health announced today that its Senior Data Scientist, Zhixiang (Jeffrey) Luo, will present “Data Mining In Biological and Medical Research” at the INFORMS Annual Meeting (#INFORMS2019) in Seattle. Luo’s presentation takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, in Room 204 at the Washington State Convention Center.

In his presentation, Luo will focus on Clostridioides difficile (C.Diff), a highly contagious hospital acquired infection (HAI) that impacts 500,000 patients each year, claiming 29,000 lives and costing nearly $5 million. The conference routinely draws an estimated 6,000 INFORMS members, academics, students, industry experts and representatives of government agencies. It is sponsored by INFORMS, the leading international association for professionals in operations research and analytics.
