Wolters Kluwer addresses VUI and impact of behavioral design on patient outcomes at PX Pop-Up: Minneapolis

Wolters Kluwer, Health announced today that Freddie Feldman, Voice Design Director, will present “Behavioral Design: How Design Impacts Patient Outcomes” at the PX Pop Up: Minneapolis (#PXPopUp) presented by The Beryl Institute. Feldman’s presentation takes place at 1:40 p.m. CT on Thursday, October 24, at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System.

Feldman’s presentation focuses on the need to pay careful attention to the nuances of experience to achieve the end goals of changing patient behavior and saving lives. He will also provide a peek behind the scenes of designing voice-based patient engagement programs.

As Voice Design Director for Clinical Effectiveness at Wolters Kluwer, Health, Feldman leads a team of voice user interface (VUI) designers, producing and directing interactive voice response (IVR) phone calls that emphasize user flow, context, interactions, performance and tone. Feldman specializes in using sound design methodologies rooted in human factors, cognitive and behavioral science, linguistics and user experience.

As one of numerous pop-up events around the country, PX Pop Up: Minneapolis is designed to facilitate networking opportunities and build the local patient experience community. The event provides the opportunity to further network with colleagues in their region and engage in facilitated discussion to share ideas, hear successful strategies and learn from other challenges on patient experience improvement.

PX Pop-Ups are presented by The Beryl Institute, a global community that builds the capacity of organizations to elevate the human experience in healthcare and develops individuals who impact experience excellence. The event is presented in conjunction with the Patient Experience Institute, an independent, non-profit organization committed to the improvement of patient experience through evidence-based research and professional development efforts including certification and continuing education.
