Firelands Regional Medical Center Implements Quantifi to Streamline Pharmacist Workflow

Cost savings provide clear value analysis of clinical pharmacy services

Wolters Kluwer Health announced today that Firelands Regional Medical Center in Ohio has implemented Quantifi as its clinical pharmacy documentation system.

Quantifi is a customizable clinical intervention documentation and reporting tool for hospital pharmacies and health systems. It allows pharmacists to document their clinical interventions quickly, collecting crucial event data easily.

“We saw more than $50,000 in cost savings in the first month of use. The comprehensive intervention tracking with lab value entry allows our pharmacists to easily keep necessary information in one place,” said Jim Spicer, Director of Pharmacy at Firelands Regional Medical Center. “We have noticed a dramatic increase in the ability to streamline our clinical staff workflow and isolate specific subgroups of patients to allow monitoring and intervention.”

Quantifi users have the ability to follow-up on their reports or the reports done by their peers. Administrators can easily generate executive level reports and detailed managerial reports to support clinical and quality improvement activities.

“Quantifi gives our hospital the ability to chronologically store each interaction with a specific patient to assure detailed and thorough patient care activities take place,” said Spicer. “Productivity and outcomes are easily accessible and provide a clear value analysis of clinical pharmacy services.”
