Wolters Kluwer works with CNPIEC, the largest ebook platform for international content in China
Wolters Kluwer ebooks have officially arrived on CNPeReading -the ebook aggregation platform from China National Publications Import & Export Group Corporation (CNPIEC), which provides e-publications in multiple fields for public libraries, university libraries, and research institutions all over China. Wolters Kluwer will launch more than 500 ebooks in the first phase of this cooperation.
The launch event was held at the 21st Beijing International Book Fair. During the event, Wolters Kluwer showed the pioneering advantages of ebooks and CNPIEC introduced the functional features of CNPeReading platform.
There were more than twenty public libraries and university libraries attending this event. All of them showed great interest in Wolters Kluwer's ebooks and CNPeReading. After the launch event, they logged into the CNPeReading platform and read Wolters Kluwer ebooks online.
Wolters Kluwer provides information, software, and services that help legal, tax, finance, and healthcare professionals all over the world. Its finance and legal titles are mainly published by three Wolters Kluwer product lines - CCH, Kluwer Law International, and Aspen. The first 400 books were published by CCH and Kluwer Law International. An additional 300 books from Aspen will be available on CNPeReading soon.
"Through this cooperation, we will continue to increase the types of e-books we offer, bringing them to the forefront of the Chinese market," said Christie Wang, Deputy General Manager of CCH, Wolters Kluwer China. The first batch of ebooks will cover topics from Kluwer Law International, including the field of arbitration, international law, economic law, labor and social security law, and intellectual property law. Examples include International Arbitration: Law and Practice, written by Gary Born, the global leader in the arbitration field, and Arbitration Law and Practice in China - 3rd Edition, the must-have book for understanding Chinese arbitration, written by Jingzhou Tao.
CNPeReading is a trading and service platform for global digital resources. It has signed cooperation agreements with many leading international publishers, and now has 1.3 million varieties of ebooks overseas, providing service to Chinese universities, public libraries, and research institutions all over China.
