The team at Wolters Kluwer HQ sits down with Eli Feldman, Sales Executive for our Corporate Tax Solution, including CCH Integrator. He discusses why he joined Wolters Kluwer, and his experience during the onboarding process.

What is your role at Wolters Kluwer?

I recently came from tax consulting and am now part of the enterprise sales team in Wolters Kluwer. I sell CCH Integrator, which is a corporate tax solution for compliance and tax reporting.

What would you say are some of your biggest motivators at work?

I love a good challenge, so I always want to give myself a difficult goal and try to reach it.

The team at Wolters Kluwer are great in that aspect because everyone pushes each other to succeed. It also helps that we have many great leaders across the business that pushes each of us in a supportive way.

How did you find the onboarding process at Wolters Kluwer?

It was great. When I joined, people who weren’t in my team were coming and assisting me with onboarding.

Onboarding and training took around two weeks, which helped upskill me in the sales operation process. During onboarding, I was also very clearly trained on who our customers are, and how we can support them within their tax compliance journey. After that two-week period, I was joining calls with many of my experienced colleagues and meeting clients. The hands-on training helped upskill me in no time, which I appreciated a lot.

From your perspective, what would you say makes our company different from others you've worked for in the past?

The people here are great, but what I really love is that I'm making a difference to multinational organisations. It's merging tax knowledge and the technology together that makes other organisations more efficient and productive, so I feel like we’re truly making a difference for our customers, which is refreshing.

It means I go into work with a positive mindset because I believe in what I'm doing.

From a social aspect, we also embrace different customs. For instance, we had a Diwali lunch a few months ago, which was great, especially coming from a different background myself. The other day we also had a group of us volunteer to feed the homeless by making meals all day. Doing things that contribute to the community is a great bonus.

What qualities do you think people need to have to be successful here?

I think, like with any other job, being a hard worker is very important. What I like here is that people in Wolters Kluwer do have high expectations. For me, it works because I'm an individual who loves a challenge.

I think if you surround yourself with people that are good and people that have high expectations, you're naturally going to meet that level. And if you don’t meet it and you're falling a bit short, you're still achieving something you can be proud of.

What work are you most proud of and why?

I'm most proud of being able to help my clients. Adding value for our clients and helping them utilise our technology to create an efficient and productive experience for them is my favourite part of the job.

As the world is moving towards technology and software, it's really an exciting place to be.

What values are most important to you and how do you experience those values at Wolters Kluwer?

At Wolters Kluwer, we win as a team. So, what do I mean by that? I mean that I came into a sales role thinking that I'll be by myself, that I’ll have my targets and I'm just going to try and achieve it on my own. When I joined the company, I was completely shocked to see how everyone comes together to help and support each other.

Whether you’re in a different sales team, you’re a product manager, a consultant, or in another division, everyone comes together and tries to create a good journey for the client and essentially win together. I truly believe if you do work as a team, you win.

What encourages you to stay at Wolters Kluwer?

I feel valued. At the end of the day, you want to be treated nicely and feel like you’ve been listened to, which is how I feel here. We’re also not micromanaged. I have been able to put ideas forward and people listen and consider all avenues.

I think it's a very collaborative environment where everyone can have an idea. It might not be the right idea, but it's listened to and you can work out the best way forward together.
