  • What is the new research platform that Wolters Kluwer is launching?

    CCH iKnowConnect Wolters Kluwer is excited to launch CCH iKnowConnect, our next-generation digital research solution designed to streamline your workflow. CCH iKnowConnect will replace CCH IntelliConnect by the end of 2023, and CCH iKnow and CCH Pinpoint before the end of 2024.

Dual access

  • What are the benefits of trying CCH iKnowConnect during the limited time dual access?
    • Familiarisation: Get comfortable with the new platform while still having access to the tools you're currently using. This lets you ease into the transition at your own pace.

Pricing, packaging, and content

  • I'm used to CCH IntelliConnect's title-based packages. What's the difference with CCH iKnowConnect's practice area packages?

    Here's the key difference:

    • Old Title Packages: On CCH IntelliConnect, content was divided into specific titles. You subscribed to multiple titles that matched your needs.
    • New Practice Area Packages: CCH iKnowConnect groups content into broader practice areas like Income Tax, Audit, or Employment Law. You subscribe to the practice area(s) most relevant to your work.

    The goal is to make your research easier and more comprehensive. With practice area packages, you get all the relevant information within that area, no matter which individual titles it might have been included in previously.

  • I'm worried I won't find the CCH IntelliConnect content I used to have. Is there a guide?

    Yes! We have a mapping guide that shows you exactly where your familiar content from the old titles now lives within the new practice area structure. We've included clear help tips directly within CCH iKnowConnect that show you which old titles are combined into each new practice area.

  • Will there be any changes to my billing as a result of the platform migration?
    • CCH IntelliConnect Customers
      For current CCH IntelliConnect customers, subject to licensing on a like-for-like basis, customers will be provisioned with the new research platform and corresponding content. No additional charge for access to CCH iKnowConnect will apply beyond your standard annual subscription renewal uplift. In most cases, CCH IntelliConnect customers will be receiving much more additional content in comparison to their existing CCH IntelliConnect subscription.
    • CCH Pinpoint Customers (AU)
      For existing CCH Pinpoint customers, subject to licensing on a like-for-like basis, customers will be provisioned with the new research platform and corresponding content. In most cases provisioning will effectively be on a one for one basis with their existing CCH Pinpoint content and no additional charge for access to CCH iKnowConnect will apply beyond the standard annual subscription renewal uplift. In some cases (for example customers who currently subscribe to any of the Torts modules in CCH Pinpoint) customers will receive additional content in comparison to their existing CCH Pinpoint subscription. A detailed mapping guide for CCH Pinpoint only applies to Australia.
    • CCH iKnow Customers (AU and NZ)
      For existing CCH iKnow customers, subject to licensing on a like-for-like basis, customers will be provisioned with the new research platform and corresponding content. In most cases provisioning will effectively be on a one for one basis with their existing CCH iKnow content and no additional charge for access to CCH iKnowConnect will apply beyond the standard annual subscription renewal uplift. In some cases (for example Business Fitness) customers will receive additional content in comparison to their existing CCH iKnow subscription.     • New Customers
      For new CCH iKnowConnect customers, flexible and tailored packages will be available according to user-based pricing per practice area. Discounts will be applied for customers who subscribe to multiple practice areas.
  • Has the content changed between platforms?
    • CCH IntelliConnect to CCH iKnowConnect: You'll find the same trusted content on CCH iKnowConnect that you're familiar with from CCH IntelliConnect. The major difference is how it's organised. Instead of individual titles, content is now grouped into practice areas for a more comprehensive and streamlined research experience. You now won't need to know specific titles to find the best possible information on your topic.
    • CCH iKnow and CCH Pinpoint to CCH iKnowConnect: Since CCH iKnow and CCH Pinpoint® already used "Practice Areas" to categorise the content available, the structure will feel familiar for our customers with some minor changes and enhancements.

  • Does the new platform include AI capabilities?
    We're excited to announce that our platform will feature Retrieval Augmented Generated (RAG) AI Questions and Answers starting in 2024. To ensure accuracy and reliability, we'll launch in Q2 2024 with a carefully curated collection of editorially-validated responses. This collection will expand over time, and all answers will include links to source material for transparency.

    By the end of Q4 2024, if an editorially curated answer isn't available, our advanced AI will generate a relevant response from our extensive Wolters Kluwer resource library. We'll clearly indicate "AI Generated" for transparency.
  • I subscribe to CCH Business Fitness NZ. I can’t find this content in CCH iKnowConnect?

    CCH Business Fitness NZ content has now been fully integrated into CCH iKnowConnect! You can find this content in two ways:

    • Search results: The content is included in your main search results when you use the search bar in CCH iKnowConnect. Simply filter by the content type “Practical tools”.
    • Practical Tools Hub: You can also browse this content by clicking on the "Practical Tools Hub" located on the left-hand black navigation spine within iKnowConnect.

    Please note that the content itself hasn’t changed. We’ve simply renamed it for consistency. You’ll find the same valuable information that you’re used to.

  • Where can I find the NZ Company forms and precedents?
    NZ Company Forms and Precedents are now conveniently accessible directly from the black navigation bar. This means you can find them quickly and easily.

    If you have a subscription to the Company and Financial Markets practice area, you can access these forms and precedents at no additional cost. However, if you don’t have a subscription, you can purchase them separately.

    We recommend purchasing the "NZ Company Forms" product in addition to the Practical Tools hub. This will provide you with a comprehensive collection of company forms and precedents that can be used alongside the other resources in the Practical Tools hub.
  • I subscribed to the NZ Tax Planning Reports, which I used to find in the Income Tax practice area. Where can I find them now in CCH iKnowConnect?

    The Tax Planning Reports have been renamed "Practitioner Articles" for consistency across the Asia-Pacific region. You can now find them in the "News and Articles" section of CCH iKnowConnect.

  • I subscribed to the NZ Tax Solutions, which I used to find in the Income Tax practice area. Where can I find them now in CCH iKnowConnect?

    You can now find them in the "News and Articles" section of CCH iKnowConnect. For Tax Solutions published before 2022, use the search function on the News and Articles page.

  • I'm looking for Private Binding Rulings (PBRs) on CCH iKnowConnect. Where can I find them?

    PBRs are now called "ATO Edited Private Advice." This change mirrors the terminology used on the ATO website, ensuring consistency. Here’s how to find them:

    • Main search: Use the CCH iKnowConnect search bar, entering keywords or a specific ruling number. ATO Edited Private Advice will appear in your main search results.
    • Filter for precision: Refine your search by selecting the "ATO Edited Private Advice" content type filter.
  • Why doesn't CCH iKnowConnect have practice area landing pages?
    We're currently exploring innovative ways to help you discover important content for your subscribed practice areas. While we don't have dedicated landing pages at this time, we're committed to finding the best solution to meet your needs.
  • I used to rely on Topic landing pages in previous CCH platforms, but I can't seem to find them in CCH iKnowConnect. Where did they go?
    We're looking at innovative new ways to create, manage, and maintain topic pages in CCH iKnowConnect so that you always get up-to-date information leveraging the latest technologies. Stay tuned for updates and improvements in this area!
  • I subscribed to CCH iQ events. How do I find these in CCH iKnowConnect?
    You can now find them in the "News and Articles" section of CCH iKnowConnect.

  • Where is Depreciation Rates Finder located on CCH iKnowConnect?
    We’ve added a handy new Depreciation Rates Finder tool to the CCH iKnowConnect homepage. Just click the blue button below the favorites and folders widget to launch it. This tool lets you search, print, and save your preferred depreciation rates.
  • I'm a CCH IntelliConnect user. Where can I find the Act Partners content?

    Act Partners was available for a limited number of Legislative Acts. It has been replaced with our new "360-degree view of legislation across all Acts" tool, providing a much more comprehensive solution.

    Here's what you get:

    • All Acts, All Practice Areas: This tool works for every Act within CCH iKnowConnect, across all practice areas.
    • One-Stop Research: Instantly find related cases, commentary, rulings, and practical tools for any Act section you're working with.
    • How to access: Open any Act and explore the related tabs across the top.
  • I used to see different commentary categories like detailed, practical, and annotated. Why are they no longer available? Am I missing out on any content?
    To improve your experience, we've simplified the way we categorise our commentary on CCH iKnowConnect. While the content remains unchanged, we've streamlined the commentary structure to make them more user-friendly. This change was based on your feedback.

    As part of this update, we've made our popular Master Guides series more accessible by adding them directly to the black navigation bar (spine) on the left hand side of the page.
  • I used to enjoy reading the full articles in my email. Why are you now sending email updates in a digest format?
    We prioritise ensuring you consistently receive our updates. The digest format helps prevent our emails from being marked as spam due to their size and number of links. This way, you won't miss any essential information.

Invoicing

  • What happens if we are in the middle of a contract term when we are transitioned to CCH iKnowConnect?

    Customers will be provisioned with the new platform and corresponding content on a like-for-like basis at no additional charge to your existing subscriptions. All changes with regard to your provisioned content will be reflected in subsequent invoices.

Transition planning and logistics

  • How will the upgrade to CCH iKnowConnect work?

    Here's the breakdown:

    Timeline outlined below.

    CCH IntelliConnect: The transition for IntelliConnect users was completed at the end of 2023.

    CCH Pinpoint® and CCH iKnow (AU & NZ): The transition will begin in mid-Q2 2024 for users of these platforms.

    Exploration Phase: We'll start by giving you dual access to both CCH iKnowConnect and your current platform (CCH Pinpoint® or CCH iKnow). This lets you try CCH iKnowConnect, see the features, and compare it to what you're used to.

    Upgrade: On the 30th of September, all users will be automatically redirected to CCH iKnowConnect.

    Customer Support: Throughout this process, we'll offer complimentary resources, training and support to ensure a smooth transition.

  • How do I access the new platform?

    There are two easy ways:

    • In-Platform Banners: Look for banners within your current platform (CCH IntelliConnect, CCH iKnow, or CCH Pinpoint) inviting you to try CCH iKnowConnect. Click the banner and you will be automatically logged in.
    • Direct Access: Go directly to https://iknowconnect.cch.com/ and log in with your current credentials.

  • What happens to my "Favourites and Folders"?

    Don't worry about losing your saved work! Here's how it will work:

    • Manual Sync: To move your favourites and folders from your current platform (CCH IntelliConnect, CCH iKnow, or CCH Pinpoint) to CCH iKnowConnect, use the "Import Favourites and Folders" button in the CCH iKnowConnect help menu.

    We're committed to a smooth upgrade. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out for support!

  • I have existing bookmarks to documents in CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Pinpoint, and CCH iKnow. Will my old links work?

    Yes! We've implemented a system to automatically redirect your saved deep links to the matching documents in CCH iKnowConnect. This ensures a seamless transition and prevents broken links.

    Important notes:

    • This redirection only applies to links pointing to individual documents. Links to the following will not automatically redirect:
      • Practice Area landing pages
      • Topic pages
      • Task pages
      • Depreciation rates

    If a matching document cannot be found in CCH iKnowConnect, it's possible the document no longer exists within the platform.

  • Will I receive any training or resources to help me use the new platform?

    Absolutely! We have a variety of resources ready to support your transition to CCH iKnowConnect:

    • In-Platform Walkthroughs: Get guided tours directly within the platform.
    • Quick Start Guides & Help Articles: Find easy-to-follow instructions.
    • Training Videos: Learn at your own pace with both live and on-demand options.
    • Customer Service Help: Our team is here to answer your questions.

    You can find all these resources through the help menu in CCH iKnowConnect or you can visit our Training & Resources website. We're dedicated to making your transition smooth!

  • Can I contact customer support if I have more questions?

    If you have any questions or concerns, our Wolters Kluwer customer support team is always available to help. You can contact us by phone or email, and we’ll be happy to assist you. Contact customer support.

SSO

  • Will single sign on (SSO) authentication be available?
    • Initial Access: When you transition to CCH iKnowConnect, your current access method will be carried over.
    • SSO Availability: Implementing SSO is possible but requires a technical assessment on a case-by-case basis. Please note that SSO deployment will have an associated cost.
    • IP Fixed Arrangements: If you currently have an IP Fixed arrangement, this will transfer seamlessly to CCH iKnowConnect.

Mobile access

  • Is there a mobile app that allows me to access CCH iKnowConnect on the go?
    You don't need a separate mobile app! CCH iKnowConnect is designed to work seamlessly on different devices, including smartphones and tablets. Simply access the platform through your preferred mobile browser.

Product roadmap

  • How do I stay informed about the latest CCH iKnowConnect updates:
    • Quarterly Update Webinars: Register for our webinars to get in-depth information on new features and improvements. Find dates and registration under the “Help” menu in CCH iKnowConnect.
