Dr. Eckler is a board-certified clinical specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus on Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Menopause, and Female Sexual Dysfunction. She is a National Certified Menopause Provider of the North American Menopause Society. Before her current role, Dr. Eckler held roles that included teaching residents and medical students, running the Quality Assurance Program of the Obstetrics Division, and creating the Faculty Scholars program dedicated to continuing academic development of faculty.
As the Director of Clinical Content - Editorial Marketing, Dr. Eckler is responsible for identifying and guiding global physician leaders to provide evidence-based answers to complex clinical care questions and reduce unnecessary variations in care. She manages physician editors, leads the editorial quality assurance testing program, and is a liaison to the marketing teams. Dr. Eckler has been a physician editor at UpToDate since 2014.
In addition to her role at UpToDate, Dr. Eckler is also a Lecturer at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she has been a physician for over 25 years. She earned her bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine after she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard University.
