Wolters Kluwer in Italy launches a series of initiatives to help address challenges presented by COVID-19

Financial donation made to Luigi Sacco hospital in Milan; funding provided for addition of ICU beds to hospitals in Lucca and Tuscany.

Wolters Kluwer, a leader in professional information, software solutions, and services, has implemented a series of initiatives in Italy to help address challenges presented by the coronavirus – making donations to help to local hospitals, and also offering support to other professionals by making free digital services available.

Donations to hospitals

Wolters Kluwer in Italy is making a financial donation to the Luigi Sacco hospital in Milan, a facility at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus emergency. With this initiative, the company is supporting healthcare professionals who are working tirelessly and exceptionally to deal with the current crisis. The donation will be used for the purchase of equipment, goods and services for the intensive care unit, as well as for the activities of the hospital’s research laboratories.

Additionally, Wolters Kluwer in Italy, through its CCH Tagetik business in Lucca, has funded the addition of eight intensive care unit (ICU) beds for the hospitals of Lucca San Luca and Lucca Castelnuovo Garfagnana. The donation of the ICU beds was based on the requests for specific and prioritized needs guided by the Lucca health management of the USL Tuscany North West Company.

Digital services for professionals

Wolters Kluwer also immediately joined Digital Solidarity, an initiative in Italy promoted by the Ministry for Technology Innovation and Digitalization to reduce the social and economic impact of coronavirus, making free digital services available to Professionals, Companies and Public Administration with free access to online information newspapers on tax, law, work, security and the environment, as well as digitally available books.
