EBP and QI excellence and innovation: Supporting nurses to improve outcomes

Recorded Tuesday, April 4, 2023 | 1 hour
Online
This webinar discussed the issues and challenges involved in developing and implementing EBP and QI and how organizations are addressing these issues with technology.

Learn how a nurse residency leader leveraged technology to solve their program challenges. NPD professionals are often tasked with multiple organization initiatives — from onboarding and supporting new nurses in residency programs and meeting criteria for Magnet® and other accreditation programs, to facilitating evidence-based practice and quality improvement projects that align with system priorities.

Challenges include a shortage of time, knowledge gaps regarding EBP and QI processes, lack of standardization, and duplication of projects with clinicians working in silos.

Learning objectives

By end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify issues facing clinical settings in developing and implementing initiatives to improve quality outcomes.
  2. Describe how organizations can facilitate the development of EBP and QI skills with a focus on transition-to-practice nurses.
  3. Discuss how EBP and QI processes can be streamlined and standardized across a health system to improve outcomes.
