The post-pandemic world: Key HR and employment law updates across Asia-Pacific you need to know

By:Lisa Christy
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which began in 2020 and continued into 2021, caused a lot of disruption in the normal working ways of businesses in the APAC region, which none of us could have predicted.

2020 and 2021 will be remembered as watershed moments in employment law. Companies are now moving forward by placing greater emphasis on workplace mobility with an increase in flexible and/or hybrid working arrangements, vaccination requirements, as well as effective workforce management.

While companies have continued to meet the challenges presented by the global Covid-19 pandemic, now it’s time to think about what’s coming next in the post-pandemic world. The business landscape is fluidly changing, so HR leaders need to be ready to shift priorities to meet their businesses' evolving needs.

Watch Lisa Christy, Wolters Kluwer APAC HR Director, presenting a glimpse across a few countries (Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam) within the APAC region on the latest labour and employment laws, rules to consider, and policies to be implemented.

This knowledge sharing session prepares HR and employment law professionals to develop a structured approach to employee management and the implementation of their company’s work rules by the latest changes and what will be needed to manage employees back to safety in a — hopefully — post-pandemic world.
