This webinar provides an overview on human trafficking and improves the capacity of clinical staff and healthcare providers to identify and assist potential victims of trafficking. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to efficiently integrate trauma-informed techniques into their clinical work to meet the unique healthcare needs of survivors of trafficking within the clinical context.

Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics — Emergency Medicine, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Children's Medical Center — Dallas
Dr. Costello joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in 2021 as a pediatric emergency medicine physician and assistant professor. She completed her residency at UT Southwestern and fellowship at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin. She has focused in advocacy and research directed towards improving adolescent sexual healthcare and the detection and care for victims of human trafficking. She seeks to continue to raise awareness and grow partnerships nationwide to serve this vulnerable population.
