Why are patient cases on the NCLEX? Teaching strategies to connect patient-centered care in class

recorded October 1, 2024 | 30 Min
Online
Lippincott® Client Cases for Clinical Judgment can transform how nursing students understand the entire role and close the gap between theory and practice. Participants will learn how to use real patient scenarios to engage students, foster clinical reasoning and decision-making, and ultimately better prepare them for the complexities of patient care.

The gap between education and practice continues to widen. We can equip our nursing students with the clinical judgment they need to thrive in practice by giving them experience in practicing clinical decision making about patient care. Client Cases is the learning platform to do it.

At the end of the webinar, you will understand how Client Cases can:

  • Engage students in patient care from day one
  • Anchor knowledge in patient care
  • Develop critical thinking and clinical judgment
  • Shift from a task to a thinking orientation
  • Recognize and respond to patient deterioration, sepsis, and complications
  • Teach prioritizing patient problems and interventions
  • Understand and apply key physiological concepts (e.g., oxygenation & perfusion) across various patient scenarios.
