As a Medical Informatics Specialist, Derek Pinnell, PharmD, supports Health Language solutions, focusing on medication data, providing clinical input for content and solution development, and finding innovative strategies to help clients make better use of their clinical data. 

In his free time, Derek enjoys riding dirt bikes, paddle boarding, reading, and spending quality time with his wife and kids. One of the biggest rewards of his profession is helping healthcare professionals provide better patient care through improved data and technology.

He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences and has further honed his expertise with certifications including the ASHP Pharmacogenomic Professional Certificate and the AMIA 10x10 Health Care Informatics Certification from Oregon Health and Science University.
