In selecting board members, STM members seek individuals whose vision and drive will directly benefit the STM community and uphold the organization’s commitment to advance trusted research worldwide. Mr. Savkar’s leadership, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, and commitment to ensure fast access to evidence-based medical content aligns with STM’s overall academic research mission.
At Wolters Kluwer, Health, Mr. Savkar leads the medical business that encompasses Ovid®, Lippincott® journals, medical education, and practice portfolios. His focus is on driving product innovation to advance information and productivity solutions for medical researchers, clinicians, medical students, and faculty to inform evidence-based decisions on care and outcomes. He has been with Wolters Kluwer for eight years, serving as General Manager for several businesses in the Legal & Regulatory division before joining the Health division in late 2019. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, he held senior positions at Nature Publishing Group and Pearson Education and has earned degrees in Physics and Classics from Harvard University.
