Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions, the market-leading provider of enterprise legal spend and matter management, contract lifecycle management, and legal analytics solutions today announced it partnered with Sevalaya to provide low cost, renewable energy to the Sevalaya community near Chennai, India. This effort is part of ELM Solutions’ ongoing commitment to positively impact local communities where the firm has a presence.
Sevalaya is a 32-year-old non-governmental organization that serves the rural poor in the Chennai area. The organization runs an orphanage, a free school for the children at the orphanage and the surrounding village, a free medical center, a library, and a residential facility for senior citizens. ELM Solutions has donated 33 solar panels for the 2,200-student school as well as two solar-powered water heaters for the senior citizen home. On Wednesday, September 23, Jonah Paransky, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions, and Raju Vaidyanathan, Managing Director Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions Chennai, held a virtual inauguration ceremony for the project, see a video here. In 2019, Wolters Kluwer sponsored a new pharmacy building for Sevalaya.
