On 13 November 2024, the European Commission released an updated XML Schema and XSD package for CESOP 1.6, introducing key changes to the structure of CESOP Payment Data messages.
The update incorporates a new Accounting Identifier component and revises the delivery structure to reflect a reorganization of the Reported Payee data based on the Account Identifier.
These modifications will directly affect the reporting process for December 2024, with submissions due by 31 January 2025.
