According to Deloitte's Center for Financial Services, Generative AI could increase US fraud losses to $40 billion by 2027, representing a 32% compound annual growth rate from 2023. Additionally, a recent report by Sophos revealed that ransomware impacted 65% of financial services organizations in 2024, infecting 43% of their computers. To mitigate these risks, DORA rigorously regulates financial institutions and their service providers.
