Section 1003.5(c)(1) states "A financial institution shall make available to the public upon request at its home office, and each branch office physically located in each MSA and each MD, a written notice that clearly conveys that the institution's loan/application register, as modified by the Bureau to protect applicant and borrower privacy, may be obtained on the Bureau's website at www.consumerfinance.gov/hmda." The notice requirements for the above sections continue for 3 and 5 years respectively. See the final rule for complete details.
To comply with this, the Home mortgage Disclosure Act Poster (VMP556P) and the Home mortgage Disclosure Act Notice (VMP556N) has been created to meet the requirement.
