Andrzej Kalwas

Legal adviser, partner at the “Kalwas i Wspólnicy" Law Office, arbitrator adjudicating at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw; in the years 1983–1995, Dean of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers’ Council in Warsaw; in the years 1995–2004, President of the National Council of Legal Advisers; in the years 2004–2005, Minister of Justice and Public Prosecutor General in the government of Marek Belka; in the years 2006–2015, Chairman of the Arbitration Board at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce; twice elected judge of the State Tribunal; author of numerous studies on legal aid, status and significance of the Bar; decorated with the Officer's Cross and the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
