Choosing CCH Axcess Tax for enhanced efficiency

CCH Axcess’s common client database feature was one of the aspects that greatly appealed to the firm. Additionally, having been an early adopter of CCH Axcess Tax for a decade prior to joining the firm, Pavey recognized the limitations of the firm’s existing software. When they acquired a large oil and gas company as a client, they brought in CCH Axcess Tax on a limited basis for that client and a few others.

Eventually, Pavey explains, the firm decided to explore a comprehensive, cloud-based suite that aligned with their needs. She says, “We made our decision based on the fact that we saw so many positive things that achieved our goal going to the cloud, and we felt that CCH had a lot of visions that aligned with our vision.”

The cohesive suite advantage

When searching for a new solution, the firm evaluated multiple solutions, including CCH Axcess Tax. Pavey states, "What ultimately brought us to CCH really was that cohesive suite. It wasn't like various pieces that were put together. This was a very cohesive suite built together on a common database." The integrated nature of CCH Axcess Tax impressed the firm, as it offered a seamless transition between different products and eliminated clunky processes.

Improved workflow with CCH Axcess Tax and CCH ProSystem fx Scan with Autoflow

Prior to adopting CCH Axcess Tax, the firm faced challenges with autoflowing capabilities. Pavey explains, "Our staff is very excited about seeing CCH Axcess offerings of the Autoflow program. They find that it is more user friendly." The software's user-friendly interface and smooth integration have significantly reduced training requirements for new staff members.

Enhanced efficiency with CCH Axcess™ Engagement

For business tax returns, the firm utilizes CCH Axcess Engagement. Pavey highlights, "We're very excited about the fact that we will now have consistent tax groupings from year to year." The software's ability to import QuickBooks Online trial balances seamlessly has further streamlined their workflow. Pavey estimates that the firm can save anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour on a return, depending on its complexity.

Intuitive and easy-to-use solution

Pavey emphasizes the importance of intuitive software when considering new technology. She states, "I find that CCH does work more with products we're already familiar with, and students are using through their college career, but there's these little add-ons that make it fit for the firm." The learning curve for CCH Axcess Tax is significantly decreased, enabling new staff members to quickly adapt and operate the software efficiently.

The transition to CCH Axcess Tax has brought significant improvements to the accounting firm's operations. By leveraging the software's cloud-based capabilities, integrated suite, and user-friendly interfaces, the firm has experienced enhanced efficiency, reduced training time, and streamlined workflows.
