Health and medication education integrated at the point of care

Your patient's health and outcomes depend on more than the decisions you make during the clinical encounter. Encouraging patients to take an active role in their health is critical but can be challenging, especially when treatment plans, conditions, or medications are complex. Patients often have questions and seek answers online, but might find incorrect or confusing information. Those questions may be posed to providers, increasing their communication burden, or patients may seek answers from sources that may contain conflicting or incorrect guidance, leading to confusion and a lack of care plan adherence.

With award-winning, evidence-based patient education from UpToDate®, UpToDate® Lexidrug™ (formerly Lexicomp®), and UpToDate Educate (formerly Emmi®), clinicians can help patients stay informed and engaged in their medical care journeys. Accessible directly via the EHR, through Smart on FHIR integrations, web browser, our patient education solutions ensure healthcare professionals have multiple pathways to provide clear, accurate information, empowering patients to make well-informed decisions about their health.
