Kristen Nichols, PharmD, BCPS, BCPPS, BCIDP is Senior Clinical Content Consultant for the Clinical Effectiveness business at Wolters Kluwer, Health.

In her role, Kristen participates in the development and maintenance of pediatric and neonatal monograph content for key drug information referential databases, such as the pediatric and Neonatal Dosage Handbook, and synthesizes drug dosing content for customers.

Kristen leads the Core Pharmacology referential COVID-19 team to develop and maintain COVID-19 related drug content in LexiDrugs and Drug Facts & Comparisons, and participates in pediatric harmonization and new content development for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic anti-infective considerations. She also participated in giving COVID-19 vaccines in long-term care facilities and at a local clinic for healthcare providers and community members.

Prior to Wolters Kluwer, Kristen was tenured faculty at Butler University where she maintained a practice site at Riley Hospital for Children as Co-Director of the Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship program and Clinical Pharmacist for Pediatric Infectious Diseases. She also practiced as an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.

Kristen received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She completed post graduate training at Indiana University Health with a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency followed by PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at Riley Hospital for Children. She is Train-the-Trainer certified for the American Pharmacists Association’s Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery. She previously served as a faculty member for ASHP’s Pediatric Specialty Review course and now serves as the Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA)’s Board Preparation Program Section Lead for Infectious Diseases.
